A prestigious contract has been awarded to deliver a cutting-edge gigafactory - a transformative project at the heart of the UKs green industrial revolution.

In its initial phase, the project involves the design and construction of a 15GWh lithium-ion battery manufacturing facility, including ancillary buildings and extensive site-wide infrastructure works.

Once complete, this facility will be among the largest battery production sites in the UK, with the capacity to supply nearly half of the countrys projected automotive battery needs by the early 2030s.

Quantity Surveyor - MEP - Major Project


Key Responsibilities:

- Act as a recognised Quantity Surveyor with strong commercial awareness and a focus on profit and cash flow

- Support the commercial management of MEP packages

- Oversee a range of commercial tasks, including procurement, tendering, contract administration, managing variations, and subcontract works packages through to final account

- Work to minimise risk and cost while maximising value through analysis and cost checking of labour, plant, and materials

- Apply broad experience in construction and civil engineering across various sectors, ideally with Tier 1 contracting organisations



Candidate Profile:

- Demonstrated experience in managing MEP packages from pre- to post-contract stages

- Experience on large-scale major projects or within construction management environments

- Strategic thinker, capable of interpreting diverse data sets to inform business direction

- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline
