Quantity Surveyor - Rail & Civil Engineering - North West - Freelance Contract

 

Quantity Surveyors currently required to join a Tier One main contractor, overseeing the delivery of a number of rail & civil engineering projects across the North West.  The role will involve assisting the commercial management team with subcontract management and administration across a large number of projects, and would suit someone with experience within this area.

 

The role:

  • Management of key accounts
  • Ensuring all contract administration is undertaken in a timely manner
  • Management of subcontract accounts, issuing application payments and notifications of any issues
  • Producing take-offs and bills of quantities where required
  • Providing commercial updates to the senior commercial team
  • Ensuring key accounts are upto date and liaising with supply chain partners where required
  • Conducting valuations, production of final accounts, commercial reports and managing change control
  • Working closely with the operational team to ensure commercial success of the projects

 

The candidate:

  • Degree Qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or related subject
  • Must have an excellent understanding of NEC form of contract
  • Experience of delivering a number of railway infrastructure projects
  • Able to work on a variety of projects, sometimes complex, whilst ensuring an appropriate reporting including early warnings
