Quantity Surveyor - Stonework and Facades Division

Location: Leeds, UK Wide

Position Overview: Our client is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our stonework and facades division. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing costs, contracts, and financial aspects of our projects. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to our continued success.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake cost analysis and prepare estimates
  • Assist in contract negotiations and procurement activities
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely financial reports
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to budgets
  • Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to manage financial aspects of projects
  • Provide advice and support on cost-effective measures to maximize profitability
  • Maintain accurate records of variations, claims, and final accounts
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably with a main contractor
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and procurement processes
  • Proficiency in quantity takeoff, cost estimating, and financial analysis
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in relevant software applications (e.g., MS Excel, project management software)
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field (preferred but not essential)
