Quantity Surveyor - Commercial fit out, CAT A & CAT B office fit out projects - Manchester based - £40,000 - £55,00 plus package

The client

A well-established Commercial / office Fit-Out Contractor based in Manchester. They are seeking a Quantity Surveyor for Commercial fit out projects between £500k and £5m in value.

The role will be mainly office based in Manchester but candidates will also be required to travel to different sites..

Duties

All cost reporting - schedule of rates, involving labour and material costs, bills of quants, cost estimates, final accounts, CVR, valuation applications, invoicing.

Perform weekly project reviews and with directors as requested

Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs.

Undertake risk, value management and cost control

Responsible for project timescales, flawless delivery and achieving efficiency to ensure profitability within the agreed price.

Analyse and prepare tenders

Build and maintain close relationships with the Contract Management teams

Submitting and negotiating final accounts

Preparing estimates of quantities

Attending project de-brief meetings

Validating applications from sub-contractors

The candidate

All applicants will have a relevant degree - BSc Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management or equivalent experience/memberships

Must be able to travel to Manchester on a daily basis, own transport - must be able to travel to sites too.

Relevant project experience - Commercial fit out and refurbishments

Salary and Package

£40,000 - £55,000
