Our client is seeking a skilled Project Quality Engineer to play a pivotal role in the Box Encapsulation Plant project at the Sellafield Site.

As a QA/QC Engineer you will play a vital part in Sellafield's clean-up program by encapsulating nuclear waste for safe storage.

Role Overview:
The Project Quality Engineer will report to the Quality Manager and support the Site QA/QC Lead.
The role involves reviewing and endorsing Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans, conducting compliance verification activities, and providing timely Quality support to other BEP Delivery Team departments.
The Engineer will also conduct Quality audits of on-site and off-site activities, ensuring consistent adherence to quality standards.

Contract Duration: 1 year
Rate: £50 per hour Umbrella
Working Hours: Monday – Friday- Office based CA20

Responsibilities:

~Review and endorse Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans.
~Conduct compliance verification activities.
~Provide timely Quality support to other BEP Delivery Team departments.
~Conduct Quality audits of on-site and off-site activities as per the Project Audit Schedule.
~Ensure consistent adherence to the quality standards of the BEP Project.
~Raise authorized project documentation in cases of non-compliance.
~Oversight of subcontractors, including the compilation and review of lifetime records.
~Maintain package status and progress reporting.
~Liaise with the project and client QA/QC teams.
~Act as an ISO 9001 Lead auditor.
~Maintain CQI membership.

Person Specification:

~Sellafield/Nuclear experience in a QA function or QC function with development into QA via lead audit and CQI membership.
~Understanding of ISO 9001 quality management systems and Sellafield CQRM.
~Experience in oversight of subcontractors and compilation/review of lifetime records.
~Maintenance of package status and progress reporting.
~ISO 9001 Lead auditor certification.
~CQI membership.
~Ability to obtain BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) is essential.
~Proficiency in the general MS Office Package.
