We are hiring and in need of a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a main contractor in Stowe on a permanent basis. We are looking for someone driven, ambitious and self-motivated to support the finance team with all aspects of invoicing, building, and maintaining relationships with employees and third parties, reconciling supplier statements and much more

Key Responsibilities –
• Process Purchase Ledger Invoices and credit notes efficiently and accurately
• Process staff expenses
• Maintaining strong relationship with the buying team, site personnel and suppliers
• Reconciliation of supplier statements as well as resolving issues via phone or email
• Set up new suppliers, check insurances are up to date and that other agencies are fully compliant
• Understand how CIS works and which VAT codes to use, including how to deal with VAT on EU invoices
• Scanning, filing and copying of invoices
• Other adhoc duties as requested by management/wider business

What we need from you –
• Demonstratable experience of purchase ledger
• Proficient use of Excel and other Microsoft applications
• Approachable and able to communicate effectively with others
• A strong work ethic and flexible approach to work
• Construction industry knowledge is desirable
• Ideally, we are looking for someone with at least 2 years’ experience in an Accounts Payable role or we will consider a finance graduate with 6 months’ experience
