As a Preconstruction Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between the Preconstruction/Estimating team and the Project Lifecycle team. You will be responsible for managing all preconstruction activities, ensuring seamless coordination, and delivering comprehensive preconstruction plans that align with our project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Preconstruction/Estimating team to develop detailed preconstruction plans, budgets, and schedules for upcoming projects.
- Conduct thorough cost estimations, cost analysis, and value engineering to optimize project budgets while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Act as a liaison between the Preconstruction/Estimating team and the Project Lifecycle team to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
- Identify potential risks and challenges during the preconstruction phase and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and cost overruns.
- Evaluate and select subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors based on cost, quality, and reliability, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
- Maintain open and transparent communication with clients, addressing their concerns and providing regular updates on preconstruction progress.
- Manage resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to support preconstruction activities.
- Implement quality control processes to ensure that preconstruction plans and specifications meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
- Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of all preconstruction activities, including budgets, schedules, change orders, and project reports.
