Project Manager required for a large education facility in Lancashire. The role will be involved in a wider estates development programme, but will also focus on the client side project managment of a large new £30m building on the site.

Key Duties will include:

• To deliver the Estates Strategy, develop and maintain a highly effective Estates service and Health and Safety strategy with robust operational procedures and systems.

• To be responsible for the timely and current advice, guidance and support for all health, safety and estates matters for which the client is responsible.

• To manage Capital Projects across the Estate as a strong project manager.

• To lead on the Sustainability and Carbon Zero Agenda across the facility achieving the net zero targets as set out in the FE Climate Roadmap.

Oversee the planned and preventative maintenance schedules.

You will lead and manage a small team

To manage Capital Projects across all sites ensuring statutory compliance in place and all works are procured in line with the clients financial regulations.

Manage the day to day works of contractors and ensure safe working practices and safeguarding procedures are adhered to.

Work alongside the facilitys professional team on the delivery of the DfE funded capital project worth £30M to rebuild a large section of the facility , acting as a key member of the project team.

To advise and monitor H&S across all live projects and works undertaken at the facility.

To lead on the planning, scheduling, costing, tendering and project management of estate improvement projects, including repair and planned maintenance programmes.

You will ideally be NEBOSH or IOSH qualified.

Required Qualifications
• Qualification in a relevant discipline i.e. built environment, Mechanical/Electrical ideally degree qualified.
• NEBOSH Diploma or membership of the CIOB or equivalent qualification
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
• Working knowledge of relevant current legislation and statutory requirements across Estates, Facilities Management and Health & Safety

• Experience of managing capital projects
• Experience of strategic planning and monitoring of KPIs across Estates and Health & Safety
• Significant experience in the management of budgets and capital projects.
