Job Title: Project Manager – Capex spend chemical Waste
Location: Salford Manchester
Type: Permanent Monday to Friday
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum

A leading supplier of waste management solutions is seeking to appoint an experienced Onsite Engineering Project Manager with expertise in chemical/hazardous waste to take lead in coordinating all aspects of engineering projects, from initial design through to control of contractors.
The core task to the role will revolve around identifying, specifying, and implementing engineering improvements at a Hazardous Waste Treatment Plant which improve efficiencies of existing systems. As such, the ideal candidate will have a distinguished record in project management, possess adept interpersonal skills, and originate from a comprehensive engineering background with a bias for hazardous waste.
Responsibilities:
• Manage mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical engineering projects.
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, including P&ID drawings and technical specifications
• Oversee all facets of engineering projects, from inception to contractor management.
• Maintain project schedules throughout the design and construction phases.
• Define project scopes in collaboration with Operations, Technical, and Engineering teams.
• Ensure project designs align with relevant legislation, including Health & Safety, Environmental, and Best Available Technique (BAT) standards.
• Develop work plans to ensure timely project completion.
• Select and oversee contractors based on technical proficiency and cost-effectiveness
.Requirements:
• HNC or NVQ in an Engineering discipline.
• Proven experience as a Project Manager working on waste treatment plants with a particular bias for chemical waste
• Demonstrated experience in electrical and/or mechanical engineering.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Experience working as a client-side Project Manager with excellent client facing experience
• Commercially aware with good understanding of current market and trading conditions.
• Strong attention to detail with strong background of documenting actions agreed with key stakeholders.
