A consultancy that operates within the Civil Construction, Property, Oil and Gas, Pharmaceuticals, Manufacturing, Power and Utilities sectors.
The project
Enrichment plants in the Cheshire area, which enable nuclear power stations to generate electricity. The purpose of the role is the production of project cost estimates

Role
My clients global project portfolio of small and medium projects accumulating up to €100 million capital expenditures annually. Select projects ranging from €50 million to in excess of €500 million
The role has multiple stakeholders, internal and external customers, as it is interfacing directly with the Group. Consequently, the ability, and availability to travel to and work in several locations is required.
This role forms part of Group Projects, Project Support team, which provides direct project support to manage the delivery of project expenditure efficiently and effectively.
The Project Cost Estimator will be assigned to either one major or a number of smaller projects. The Project Cost Estimator will ensure that the cost estimates fully reflect the scope of the project and in accordance with the companies’ policies and procedures.
The Project Cost Estimator will normally work remotely from line management and is expected to be able to operate with autonomy whilst providing services to several customers.

Duties
· Accountable for the development of probabilistically modelled project cost estimates
· Production of counter estimates to enable validation of vendor offers and claims
· Supporting the development of Capital Expenditure Proposals (CEPs)
· Estimate the impact of any project change requests
· Carry out peer reviews of cost estimates produced by others

Candidate
· This role requires the mobility to work at any Urenco Group operating location for periods of time with travel of up to 50%
· Educated to Degree level in a relevant subject or discipline
· Professional cost estimating qualification e.g., AACE or equivalent
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project cost estimating
· Ability to interpret technical specifications and engineering drawings of varying complexity
· Ability to co-ordinate disparate information into a coherent estimate
· Advanced Microsoft application skills specifically Excel, Word, Visio and PowerPoint
· Sound understanding of industry standard estimating processes and principals
· Probabilistic modelling knowledge
· Experienced user of Primavera, PRA, @Risk and Microsoft Project
· SAP knowledge - Desirable
· Conversant in business English

Salary
· Salaried Band £45-£60K
· Car allowance of £5K
• 28 Days annual and 3 days need to take at Xmas
• Discretionary bonus
