Project Controls/ Planning Manager

Project Controls Manager Required for one of the UK’s most high-profile construction companies. The projects they work on are pioneering infrastructure projects in the power sector. They are now keen to develop their project planning capability by recruiting highest calibre Project Controls Manager to work on power projects. This role is based out of Carlise.

The Role

Manage the planners and project controllers to produce the plans and programmes providing training where necessary.
Identify risk to the programme making recommendations where appropriate.
Provide planning reporting and progress. Produce and present reports.
Assist the commercial team to evaluate supply chain quotations/methodologies that relate to programme.
Manage the key resources and resource levels within the programme.
Manage the cost loading of the programme in liaison with the Commercial team to produce a cashflow and progress reporting.
Promote and actively participate in knowledge share events.
Manage the preparation of programme narratives for inclusion with the submissions of programmes.
Lead the setting up of the monitoring systems, such as EVA, to enable the project team to meet reporting requirements. Provide interpretation of output and challenge performance outputs.

For this role you will need

Previous Project Controls Management Experience ideally in the power/related sectors
Validation & Construction Experience within the sector
In depth knowledge of NEC3 & JCT Contracts
Strong risk experience
Expert knowledge of Primavera
