Due to a growing portfolio of work in the Defence and Education sectors the Glasgow Office is seeking a Chartered Architect/Project Architect to join the Multi Disicpline Design Team.

Role:
As an Architect based in the Glasgow office, you will be working in a fast pace office as part of a small multi-disciplinary design team delivering full design service on projects primarily in the education and defence sectors in Scotland and England. Working alongside design leads from other disciplines you will have the opportunity to lead architectural design deliverables on projects from inception through to construction.

Your work will require collaboration across their own multi-disciplinary team and across the wider business where you will be supported to engage and collaborate with other consultancy teams.

Although the successful applicant will be based out of their Glasgow City Centre office, applicants should be available for regular travel to sites across Scotland and the North of England. Responsible for providing architectural guidance, calculations, analysis, studies and recommendations for a specialized segment of the Architectural Discipline within the schedules and budget of an assigned project.
May manage various size groups of architects, designers and/or specialists.
May work on modest size projects and/or assist Project Architectural or Engineering Managers with higher grades.
Minimum Requirements Technical Requirements
Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe and Microsoft Office Programmes
Competent in Revit (desirable)
Excellent understanding of the English and Scottish Building Regulations
Familiar with statutory consent procedures in Scotland
Understanding of BIM Level 2 project requirements and processes
Personal Requirements
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to speak in public and lead design team and client meetings
Self-motivated and pro-active with ability to work collaboratively and also deliver as an individual
Preferred Qualifications Chartered Architect
Experience working on defence and education sector projects (desirable)
Experience of running/working on multiple jobs simultaneously
Experience working with multi-stakeholder clients and framework project delivery
Experience working on projects in Scotland and England
Experience working on listed building projects
Experience working in multi-disciplinary design teams
Experience of completing sustainability assessments
