About the role:

Our client is a technology-enabled manufacturer of volumetric modular homes, revolutionizing the way these homes are manufactured in the UK. They are currently expanding with a second factory and are seeking a Process Engineer to join their Factory 2 team.

You will:

  • Define the manufacturing processes and detailed layouts within Factory 2 to achieve the production target of 7,800 modules per year.
  • Have experience in process design with non-standard products and variable build timings is essential.
  • Create efficient and balanced processes with built-in quality.
  • Have an in-depth understanding of lean process design tools and proven experience in their implementation.
  • Ability to balance processes through off-line static process design and on-line dynamic design.
  • Visualize process design using tools like Yamazumi charts and adapt across different variants.

Do you fit the bill?

  • Degree or nationally recognized qualification in an engineering/technical discipline or relevant time-served knowledge.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, and the ability to create clear and concise written instructions.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong adherence to procedures and process implementation for consistent output.
  • Quick and efficient learner, capable of documenting knowledge in an easily understandable format.
  • Self-motivated in maintaining accurate documentation, making modifications, and keeping stakeholders updated.
  • Experience in training individuals on defined tasks is advantageous.
  • Experience in creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Risk Assessments (RAs) is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in a construction/process role is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Autodesk software, particularly Autodesk Inventor or similar, is advantageous.
  • Understanding of sign-off procedures and revision control within a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
