My client, a globally leading engineering specialist, is looking for experienced Structural Engineers to join their Design and Advanced Technology at a principle and associate level in their Warrington and Glasgow offices.
You will join a group of civil and structural engineering professionals helping to develop technical solutions across a wide range of challenging projects within markets such as Water, Cities & Development, Energy and Defence. You could be working on a small individual assignment or as part of a larger, multi-disciplinary team taking on some of the most complex and challenging infrastructure projects in the world.
The role covers a large array of sectors within structural engineering, including utilities, drainage, pavement design, and heavier seismic structural design. This is a fantastic opportunity to challenge yourself and develop your portfolio.
You will be responsible for:
• Taking part in the work, encouraging teamwork among co-workers, and dedication to the field.
• Directing multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Creating briefings, task scopes, and contributions to bid proposals.
• Successfully managing time and budgets to critical project milestones and programmes.
• Providing integrated design solutions by collaborating closely with teams in the UK and abroad.
• Following guidelines for quality control in design.
Your qualifications and skillset will include:
• Chartered Engineer with a proven track record of success.
• Experience with design delivery, including coordination with other disciplines in multidisciplinary design.
• Experience in business development, managing a design team, and winning competitive tendering.
• Engineer with strong analytical abilities and a pragmatic, practical outlook.
• Accept accountability and responsibility for the work that you or your team has completed.
• Develop relationships and work well with others, including the client team, representatives from various specialties, and contractors at all tiers (younger to senior), both inside and outside the company.
• Experience working with and negotiating with major project stakeholders, such as regulatory, statutory, and local organisations.
• Produce designs in accordance with CDM guidelines.
