Excellent opportunity for project/site surveyor to join an expanding specialist contractor in Yorkshire.

The job role is a travelling role, visiting various prospective sites around the UK undertaking detailed surveyors of the project and property ahead of the construction team visiting to undertake the project. You must be willing to travel on a daily/weekly basis.

Key elements of this role include:

Complete site visits and surveys using company systems ensuring accurate measurements, drawings, photographs are provided to enable effective plans and estimates, including budgets and timescales.

Contributing to job planning, and briefing subcontractor project teams, main contractors, and suppliers.

Excellent communication, organisation, and reporting skills, together with sound judgment and proactive decision making is essential to effectively lead the project, identify issues, and provide effective solutions to ensure it runs to plan.

Managing sub-contractors, planning critical dates, and organising labour, checking CSCS card validity and any other formal requirements required on site. Ensuring quality of works and deducting penalties from retentions when required.

Ensuring health and safety good practice is adhered to and that plant and equipment is being operated correctly and its good condition maintained, reporting any damage. Also checking any company vehicles are well maintained and reporting any damage.

Support the estimating department undertaking site surveys, produce competitive quotes downloading, measuring and interpreting site drawings, utilising company systems to input information and generate formulated quotes including programmes and databases such as MIMS, CAD etc.

Contribute to job planning working closely with other professionals, keeping high standards of communication levels with others. Supervise all operations that affect quality enforcing the compliance with all legal standards. Oversee the usage of standards and policies and review design documentation for compliance with contract requirements.

Determining, negotiating and agreeing on in-house quality procedures, standards and specifications and contributing to company systems including the CRM, tracking database, and completing required paperwork such as Pre-Qualification Questionnaires and Supplier Chain Forms providing feedback and trends to management by meetings or presentations.

Ensure project is closed efficiently and collect, record, and analyse quality data Initiate non-conformance, corrective actions and perform root cause analysis offering proactive solution suggestions.

Manage records of quality reports, statistical reviews and relevant documentation overseeing the company process, ensuring timely review and approval / reconciliation of variations, maintaining contractual records and documentation to ensure the company maintains its awareness for continuous improvement

Supplying information to resolve any disputes and manage client expectations, monitor customer satisfaction with our terms and conditions and contracting practices, and identifying areas for improvement in our company's contracting processes and address general company troubleshooting.

Attending meetings, training and supervision sessions taking minutes and keeping notes, supporting the general running and best interests of the company including motivating and assisting other team members, answering the phone, providing refreshments, and maintaining office cleanliness.
