We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced plumber with knowledge of electrical systems to join our team at a small hospital in York. As a Hospital Plumber with Electrical Knowledge, you will play a vital role in maintaining and ensuring the efficient operation of plumbing and related electrical systems within the hospital facility. This position requires a strong background in plumbing and an understanding of electrical systems to address a wide range of maintenance and repair needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Plumbing Maintenance:

Inspect, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment throughout the hospital.
Identify and resolve plumbing issues, such as leaks, blockages, and drainage problems, in a timely manner.
Install new plumbing systems and fixtures when necessary.
Electrical Systems Knowledge:

Utilize electrical knowledge to troubleshoot and assist with electrical systems, including lighting, switches, and outlets.
Collaborate with the hospitals electrical team for more complex electrical tasks and support when required.
Preventative Maintenance:

Implement a regular preventative maintenance schedule to minimize downtime and ensure the smooth operation of plumbing.
Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and address them proactively.
Emergency Repairs:

Respond to emergency plumbing and basic electrical repair requests promptly to ensure the safety and functionality of the hospital.
Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including parts used and work performed.
Report completed work orders and any outstanding issues to the maintenance supervisor.
Compliance and Safety:

Adhere to all safety regulations and hospital policies to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Keep abreast of plumbing and electrical codes and standards to ensure compliance.
Qualifications:

Valid plumbers qualification and relevant certifications.
Proven experience as a plumber, with knowledge of electrical systems.
Familiarity with hospital or healthcare facility maintenance is a plus.
Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
Excellent problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
