A leading Main and Principal contractor operating across the Water sector. They have a strong heritage dating back over a century, a well developed client base and very healthy orderbook. They have a proven track record of on many frameworks with a strong reputation for delivery. There is a strong team ethic within the business meaning a well-motivated work force and a very low staff turnover. They are now in a position recruit a high calibre Planner to work on Water projects. For this role a structured development plan will be in place for the right individual to develop to senior level.

The Role
To produce project programmes across civil, mechanical and electrical engineering projects
To carry out accurate planning, comprising of progress reporting, key dates and milestones, stretch targets and critical path analysis
Assist in preparing schedule data at pre-tender stage
Comply with Management Systems
Compilation of project and programme Information
Monitor and update project and programme Information

About you
Ideally have a site engineer, section engineering background or equivalent experience
Methodological approach to planning
Competent in using planning software
Excellent IT skills and relevant knowledge of planning software including MS Project
Engineering Background
Strong Problem solving
Strong communication including writing reports and presenting
Understanding of engineering principles
