Job title: Assistant Architect - Part 2

Reporting to: Principal Architect

Hours: 37.5 per week

Key purpose of job:

Part 2 architectural assistant to act in a support role to the architectural and broader team, with previous experience in graphic presentation work relating to architecture or allied professions.

The responsibilities are varied and may range from preparing drawings, sketches, draft 3D images, graphic & marketing materials, schedules, reports, involvement in meetings and undertaking site visits.

Key job responsibilities:

  • To prepare Drawings and Plans, Construction drawings Photomontages, 3D Modelling and Visualizations and other Illustrative Material in support of Planning Applications, Presentation Work and Contract Documentation.
  • Be capable of applying precise specifications in architectural drawings, and maintain all drawing package, client/consultants’ specifications in an organised manner.
  • Provide architectural assistance to architects in developing planning and construction drawings, specifications, and other multiple tasks.
  • Be able to execute architectural details and write specifications to a high standard under supervision. Good knowledge and understanding of the UK building regulation and planning policies.
  • To have knowledge and experience in the use of AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design and others), Sketchup/Revit and rendering software.
  • To assist in the preparation of illustrated reports, brochures, information leaflets and

marketing materials. Maintaining and updating the Company’s Website or other internal technical documents.

  • Be able to prepare feasibility studies and moodboads for client presentations.
  • Ensure that all project deadlines are met to the highest of standard.

Candidate specification

  • Previous experience in graphic presentation work relating to architecture or allied professions.
  • Be able to coordinate and prioritise between project tasks and marketing materials.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated with a can-do attitude
  • Team player
  • Full driving licence and use of own car
