Job Title: Painter (Commercial & Domestic)

Location: Various sites (as assigned by contractor/agency)

Employment Type: Temporary/Contract (via agency)

Reports To: Site Supervisor / Contractor

Job Summary:

We are seeking skilled and reliable painters to work on a variety of commercial and domestic projects. The role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring a high-quality finish in accordance with client specifications. You will be working under the direction of a contractor and assigned to jobs through an agency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes/cracks, and applying primer.
• Apply paint, varnish, wallpaper, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.
• Work on both interior and exterior surfaces including walls, ceilings, doors, and woodwork.
• Follow health and safety procedures on-site.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
• Ensure work areas are clean and tidy after completion.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople and site supervisors.
• Travel to various job sites as required.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a painter in commercial and/or domestic settings.
• Knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good physical stamina and attention to detail.
• CSCS card (preferred for commercial sites).
• Own tools and transport (may be required depending on job location).
• Flexibility to work on short-notice assignments.

Desirable:

• NVQ or equivalent qualification in Painting & Decorating.
• Experience with wallpapering and decorative finishes.
• Awareness of environmental and safety regulations.
