Position: Logistics Office Administrator

Location: BCS Group, Wallows Lane, Walsall, WS1 4AG

Employment Type: Temporary to Permanent

Hours: Full Time, 40 hrs/week (7:30 am to 4:30 pm)

Rate: £12 per hour PAYE

The logistics office administrator is responsible for supporting the logistics team with administration duties relating to the delivery and collection of hire and sale orders, along with supporting internal and external drivers with administration and communication, whilst ensuring they meet the required standards.

Responsibilities:

Generate delivery/collection paperwork and input confirmations into the system.
Book external hauliers, raise internal requisitions, purchase orders, and goods receipt orders.
Provide feedback on completed paperwork quality to the logistics supervisor.
Create customer invoices for delivery and collection charges.
Liaise with sales for scheduling and resolving delivery issues.
Log miscellaneous transport requests for routing and tracking.
Coordinate with customers to schedule driver visits and confirm lifting capabilities.
Maintain average awaiting collection days within the agreed SLA.
Utilize the daily courier service when necessary.
Follow up on courier deliveries to ensure timely completion.

Health and Safety:
Complete tasks in accordance with depot risk assessments and notify the Team Leader of any potential non-compliance.
Report accidents and near misses using the correct methods.
Ensure correct PPE usage at all times.
Maintain excellent office housekeeping, ensuring areas are free from waste and trip hazards.
Support the Logistics supervisor and Fleet Manager to ensure compliance with FORS standards through effective administration.

Quality:
Ensure works are carried out in accordance with processes.
Contribute to continuous improvement by providing suggestions and feedback to Team Leaders and Management.
Work within agreed timescales and update the Team Leader on progress.
Maintain good communication with Team Leaders and Management at all times.

Qualifications and Skills:
~Previous experience in logistics or administrative roles.
~Proficient in document preparation and record-keeping.
~Strong communication and organizational skills.
~Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
~Ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines.
