Job Opportunity: MEWP Operators (x8) – Night Shifts

We’re recruiting 8 x MEWP Operators to join Kier’s Transportation division on a Birmingham-based project. This is a short-term contract with the potential to extend, working nights and carrying out essential removal works across the city.

Location
Depot: Kier Highways, 142 Thimble Mill Lane, Birmingham, B7 5HR

Start/finish at the depot, then travel to sites across Birmingham

Pay Rates

Umbrella: £22.00 – £25.00 p/h

PAYE Basic: £16.63 – £18.85 p/h

Contract Dates

Start: Monday 6th October 2025

End: Friday 31st October 2025

Potential extension depending on project progress

Shifts

Nights: 8:00pm – 4:30/5:00am

30-minute break

Requirements

IPAF 1B and either CPCS A26 or NPORS N108/N109

Full UK driving licence (must cover vehicles up to 7.5T)

Safety Critical medical (SEQHOS accredited)

D&A testing at induction

Full 6-point PPE (helmet with 4-point chin strap, glasses, gloves, unbranded hi-vis, boots)

No DBS, asbestos awareness, or manual handling required

Work involves removing unauthorised attachments (e.g. flags) from public property

Operators will work in pairs, usually alongside a permanent Kier staff member
