Mechanical Supervisor

Location: South West England, Dorset, Bournemouth

Job Type: Contract, Full-Time

Job Duration: 12 Months 

Primary Industry: Engineering

Secondary Industry: Construction

Salary: £375.00 - £400.00 Per day (Inside Scope)

Job Duties:

  • Supervise and coordinate mechanical installation and maintenance activities
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Manage and allocate resources effectively
  • Oversee quality control procedures
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the team
  • Monitor project progress and report to senior management

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor or similar role
  • Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and components
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

Education:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within the engineering or construction industry

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations
  • Familiarity with project management principles

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certification in Project Management
  • Experience working on large-scale construction projects

Working Conditions:

  • Fast-paced work environment
  • Frequent travel to project sites required
  • Potential exposure to hazardous materials
  • Occasional weekend and evening work may be necessary
