Vacancy - Intermediate Mechanical Engineer

Location - Sheffield

Anderselite are working with one of the leading consultancy that are looking to take on an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their building sector and work on building services.

This position is Permanent and our client offer a hybrid home-office working arrangement and happy to consider flexible and remote working.


Responsibilities

Assessing project requirements
Using computer-aided design/modelling software
Liaising with suppliers
Undertaking relevant research
Producing and implementing designs and test procedures
Presenting designs to managers and clients
Testing, evaluating, modifying and re-testing products
Writing reports and documentation
Providing technical advice
Analysing and interpreting information
Previous experience as an Architectural Technician with experience within industrial/commercial and manufacturing sectors.


Qualifications & Experience

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
Previous experience as an Architectural Technician with experience within industrial/commercial and manufacturing sectors
Sound communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the latest building regulations and British Standards
The ability to work from your own initiative and as part of a team
Excellent IT skills; including Microsoft Office and CAD
Knowledge and understanding of sustainable technologies and assessment processes
The ability to liaise effectively and confidently with other public and private organisations
Good time-management skills
Ability to work with financial budgets
Good eye for detail and design
Ability to problem-solve, but also raise critical issues in a timely-manner to your line manager
Knowledge of issues pertinent to architecture, design, planning and the built environment in the context of sustainability
