He/shewillberequiredtocheckcomplianceofmechanicalinstallationsandprovideadviceandmakerecommendationsonmechanicalbuildingservicestoallkeystakeholders, ensuringstandardsrequiredbytheCouncilandclientsintermsofcost, performanceandadviceareadheredtoandtohelpimplementtheCouncilsprocurementstrategyforconstruction-relatedservices.

He/shewillberequiredtocarryoutregularsiteinspectionstochecktheworkmanship, qualityandcheckingthatplansandspecificationsarebeingadheredtotogetherwithsafetyofworkonconstructionsites. Youwillprovideweeklyreportstocolleagues, managers, andclientstoadviseonprogressandissuesarisingensuringcomplianceofmechanicalinstallationsandprovideadviceandmakerecommendationsonbuildingservicesmattersrelatedtoallkeystakeholders, ensuringstandardsrequiredbytheclientsintermsofcost, performanceandadviceareadheredtoandtohelpimplementtheCouncilsprocurementstrategyforconstruction-relatedservices.

Applicants should be qualified to HND/HNC/Degree level in a relevant subject or be able to evidence the equivalent level of knowledge gained through work experience.
ItisessentialthatapplicantsarecomputerliterateandhaveprovenknowledgeandexperienceinmechanicalEngineering/buildingservicesengineeringincludingknowledgeandexperienceinlegalandstatutoryregulationsassociatedwiththerole.

The applicant must have extensive knowledge and experience in building services installations, reading and understanding drawings, specifications and report writing to advise on issues and progress.
Applicants should be able to work independently, under pressure and to deadlines.
Avaliddrivinglicenceandtheuseofacarwouldbeessentialasthepositioninvolves minortravel, forwhichaCasualCarUserallowanceispayable.
