Maintenance Operative

Aaban is looking for a reliable and skilled Maintenance Operative to join our team in Accrington. This role involves carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance within a care facility, ensuring a safe, well-maintained environment for residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Delivering planned and reactive maintenance across the facility

• Carpentry repairs including doors, skirting, architraves, and flooring

• Plumbing tasks such as leak repairs, unblocking, replacing fixtures, and appliance installations

• General building works including plaster patching, painting, tiling, and snagging

• Diagnosing and resolving faults quickly and effectively

• Working safely and professionally within a live care environment

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Operative or Multi-Trader

• Skilled across carpentry, plumbing, and general building maintenance

• Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills

• Respectful, professional approach when working in sensitive environments

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Driving licence preferred but not essential
