About The Role:

Our Client is looking for a talented Shift Engineer to join their dynamic team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in ensuring all machinery operates correctly, conducting minor maintenance repairs, and contributing to their production process. You'll play a key role in maintaining a range of equipment within a facility that specializes in manufacturing modular timber frame panels.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing machinery operation, ensuring everything works as intended.
  • Performing minor maintenance tasks and addressing any machinery issues.
  • Working closely with the health and safety department to comply with policies and procedures.
  • Implementing process improvements, particularly in planned preventative maintenance.
  • Scheduling and executing maintenance tasks on various machinery.
  • Resolving mechanical breakdowns efficiently, prioritizing safety.
  • Supporting other departments with engineering expertise as needed.
  • Undertaking ad hoc project work and other duties as assigned.

About You:

  • Alignment with their core values of Integrity, Caring, and Quality.
  • Experience with CNC woodworking machinery (preferred).
  • Qualifications: HNC/ONC in Mechanical Engineering, NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proven track record in maintenance engineering, ideally in a timber frame manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of process improvement and efficiency enhancement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to various engineering tasks.
