Logistics Administrator
Sutton
6-month contract (possibility of extension or go permanent for the right candidate)
£13.50 per hour PAYE


Exciting new requirement just in for a Logistics Administrator to join a well-respected Infrastructure company on a 6month initial contract. We are looking for someone ambitious, motivated and enthusiastic to join their team In Sutton.

You will be supporting the team with multiple duties including Administration, making phone calls, planning, being point of contact to the wider business etc. This role is based on-site so we are ideally looking for someone with experience In a similar environment with excellent communication skills and a friendly nature.

We are looking for someone to start ASAP (maximum notice period 2 weeks) – we also require no August-holiday commitments as this position is to cover holiday season. This is a great opportunity if you are looking for a new position to contribute towards your professional growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pre-planning the use of the companies owned vehicles to optimise loads and drive profitability
  • Ordering vehicles to deliver and collect hires as they happen
  • Keep and maintain records of the transport movements and costs
  • Quality and timely communication with customers to ensure they are kept informed of delivery / collection times
  • Checking the transport rates from hauliers against charges made to ensure consistency and correct pricing
  • Ensure filing of all relevant documentation is kept up to date
  • Pay hauliers via payment cards daily
  • Ensure all price and cost data is recorded for logistics performance analysis
