Job Title - Quantity Surveyor

The client
A national house builder with a fantastic reputation seeks a Quantity Surveyor to work on multiple unit traditional build large development projects across the North Area region. The office is based in Manchester the sites are in the Northwest area also. This is an amazing opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join this award winning, national house builder who is after the opportunity to work on some challenging projects. Duties
Managing cash flows / budgets and all financial information as per the companies policies and processes.
Ensuring group policies and processes are followed and reported fully on all build-related expenditure.
Management of the working partnerships with Housing Associations, third party providers and sub-contractors to ensure that all contractual terms are met and ensure that all orders are placed
Collaborate with departments across the business to improve cost effectiveness and ensure timely delivery of projects whilst providing cost advice on any aspect of the build as and when required.
A key part of determining and agreeing site start programmes and timescales.
Authorising and committing expenditure on the internal COINS ERP system
Monitor, reconcile and recharge any costs which relate to shared cost items with other internal teams and offices as well as external companies.
Producing key status reports and updates on all KPIs relating to the Commercial function.

The candidate
You must be able to demonstrate a successful track record in the field of Quantity Surveying, ideally within volume house building, however a strong background from within a contractor would also be considered
As this is a Senior role you must have a minimum 5 years’ experience. You may have either House Building or Main contracting experience.
BSc in Quantity Surveying is ideal, a HNC / HND is essential or a similar in a commercial related course is essential.
Previous recent experience running multi-unit residential schemes and drivers licence is essential.

Salary and Benefits
£35,000 - £51,000 depending on level (intermediate / project quantity surveyor level role)
