Intermediate Quantity Surveyor
£30 - £40k per annum plus car allowance, pension and more

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join one of the largest Property Services contractors in the UK. This is an office-based role with intermittent site visits. The office branch is based in Orpington and sites are spread across the East and Southeast region.
The client specialise in Social housing, Education, Healthcare and other sectors with over 35 branches nationwide. As such previous experience with a main contractor is desirable. This role provides a clear pathway to progression and is the perfect role for a graduate looking for a step up.

Responsibilities:
• Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
• Advising on procurement strategy
• Preparing and analysing costing for tenders
• Allocating work to subcontractors
• Review of sub-contractor applications for payment with issue of any appropriate payment, pay less notices and certificates.
• Preparation of monthly cost report including forecasting
• Review and action of any contractual correspondence
• Submission of final accounts
• Attend Site and client meetings where required.
• Act professionally always as the face of the company and assist in business growth where possible.
Requirements:
• Degree qualified in a relevant construction subject.
• NEC and JCT Contract knowledge
• 2-3 years minimum experience
• Strong forecasting experience
• Proficient user of MS packages - Outlook, Excel and Word
• Positive, enthusiastic, and willing to be a team player.
