Experienced Head of IT / IT Manager required to lead the IT function to support a secure and successful business service. You will directly manage a small internal team and oversee outsourced elements through an IT service provider contract. You will manage a budget of c£1m p.a, to maintain and improve the IT infrastructure and develop the company's IT strategy.

Essential Experience: You will have a dedicated track record in interim IT Management roles with the ability to analyse existing Infrastructure and IT Security/Cyber Security and develop a strategy to improve the IT function. Requires strong budget control and contract negotiation experience, the ability to manage outsourced providers and be accountable for IT system and data compliance. As Head of IT, you will report to the Board on IT issues, data protection, GDPR, contract compliance and system strategy. Industry knowledge and experience of the Ministry of Defence (MOD) sector or other High Security Industry preferred. Experience within an ISO27001 environment.

Immediate interviews, start ASAP. Initially for 3 - 6 months, may extend. This role will require BPSS Clearance, either current and valid or the ability to obtain. You must possess a current driving licence and be able to travel to other locations if required.

NB: This role has been deemed 'inside' of IR35. The rate quoted is the Umbrella rate.
