Due to the awarding of several new frameworks, our client, a specialist contractor operating within the rail industry is seeking to employ a HSEQ Manager to be based from their South Yorkshire office.

As a HSEQ Manager you will assist in the development of the HSEQ performance initiatives and maintain HSEQ systems ensuring compliance and standards are met at all times.

Main duties:

• Provide HSEQ support to rail sector projects
• Assist in the development of HSEQ related documentation including CPP, WPP, TBS, RAMS
• Delivering reports on safety, quality and environmental performance to the Head of HSEQ
• Promoting the awareness of HSEQ issues and activities across the projects
• Receive, review and disseminate HSEQ information
• Organisation of investigations into incidents and accidents and the reporting of conclusions a plan to implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Maintain liaison with Trackwork Clients, Network Rail, Enforcement Agencies and Third Parties on HSEQ issues
• Support the Head of HSEQ in developing HSEQ Strategies and maintaining third party accreditations
• Take stewardship of the internal and external audit program and support area offices in respect to third party HSEQ audits.

Essential Requirements:

• Significant HSEQ Management experience.
• Experience in Rail Industry HSEQ assurance management.
• Diploma or equivalent level H&S qualification
• PTS
• Knowledge of accident investigations and reporting procedures.
• A sound knowledge of CDM, ISO9001, ISO14001 & ISO45001
• Ability to adapt ideas and approaches to suit changing priorities or solutions.
• Well organised, diplomatic, proactive, assertive and well-disciplined.
