Health and Safety Manager - 6 month contract - highways project (civil engineering) - £400-£500 per day (inside IR35) - St Neots, Cambridgeshire
Responsibilities:-
• Ensuring compliance with and reporting on performance of the Company management system and statutory provisions
• Assist the Project teams with the production, review and implementation of the Construction Phase Plan / Project Execution Plan
• Liaison with trade contractors, designers, suppliers, client, enforcement agencies and other relevant parties
• Communicate effectively (Accurate, Relevant and Timely) with their line manager, particularly with the escalation of accidents and incidents
• Conduct accident and incident investigations identifying root cause and contributory factors
• Ensuring close out of all remedial actions in relation to accidents and incidents
• Ensuring incidents are reported onto relevant data base systems including any client designated system
• Co-ordinate the auditing of projects under their responsibility and others as directed
• Auditing of contractors, designers, suppliers and coordinating with the Procurement Team
Requirements:-
• Previous experience at a senior safety level in delivery of a relevant construction project e.g. large infrastructure Health & Safety
• NEBOSH General Certificate or above
• Working towards chartered membership of IOSH – CMIOSH
• Experience of managing highways work
