Health and Safety Consultant / CDM Advisor / Principal Designer - Leeds based (hybrid/home working with 1-2 days per week on projects in and around Leeds) - £40k-£50k+excellent package (car allowance, pension, healthcare, professional memberships) - well-established regional consultancy working on construction/CDM projects, predominantly within the healthcare, education and residential sectors.
The role:-
1. To act as Health and Safety Consultant / Principal Designer/CDM Advisor managing pre construction design risk management processes including the preparation of F10 and PCIP.
2. Lead design team with respect to CDM to ensure all matters of design, maintenance and in use considerations have been considered and the principles of prevention have been applied.
3. Check Contractor’s Construction Phase Health and Safety Plan and advise the client on suitability.
4. Prepare Health and Safety File.
5. To undertake Fire Risk Assessment of buildings and prepare reports and action plans.
6. Provide general Health and Safety advice including preparing risk assessments, training client staff, competency advice, contractor monitoring and offering Clients health and safety advisory services.
Qualifications/experience:-
1. NEBOSH Certificate / NEBOSH Construction
2. Membership of professional body (IOSH/APS)
3. Knowledge of CDM, construction health and safety, and ideally the PD role
