One of my clients is looking for a Group Senior Architectural Technician to join their group Technical Development team in the South Yorkshire office.
The client is a well-established housebuilder operating within the residential sector.
The candidate will be working on different projects such as social housing, and high-rise, so experience working within the residential sector is essential. It is a hybrid remote role.
The role:
• Develop and maintain the BIM (Revit) library of group house type ranges, families and schedules
• Develop, maintain and promote processes and procedures for using BIM content through the Technical Development department include the eventual adoption of BS:19650
• Liaise with the IT department to manage CAD and BIM software requirements for the Technical Development department and wider group
• Develop and maintain the group standard detail library
• Develop and maintain detailed specifications for use though the business
• Providing technical support for the operating regions on a day-to-day basis
• Production of 3D Revit models for use from concept design to construction issue information
• Adhere to the design departments QMS process in compliance with ISO 9001
• Ensure all Technical Literature, Building Regulations and Design Standards are current and updated when required
• Provide Technical assistance to all operating regions
• Maintain, develop and produce specification documents to support the business
• Assist with the management NHBC/LANTAC house type approvals
• Assist with development and management of Technical Development processes and procedures

Skills, Experience & Attributes:
• Experience with Design & Build Contracts
• Knowledge and experience in AutoCad and Revit
• Excellent Revit skills with a demonstrated experience of developing systems and the management of libraries
• Expert knowledge of residential building regulations and NHBC standards
• Demonstrated experience of specification creation and management.
• Sound understanding of the house building processes and on-site delivery
• Familiarity with all trades required within housebuilding
• Good written and verbal communication and influencing skills
• Flexible – able to work at and communicate with all levels
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Task prioritisation and problem resolution.
• Previous experience of building relationships with internal and external partners
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft and Adobe packages.
• Demonstrated experience of residential design (houses and low rise multi residential) within the volume house building sector-desirable
• Experience in Building and Planning regulations/procedures
Essential:
• HNC /HND / Degree (or equivalent) in a construction-related subject i.e., Architectural Technology, Construction Management, Building Surveying, Building, Civil Engineering etc.
• Experience in BIM (Revit) library of group house type ranges, families and schedules
