Are you a Graduate or Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to develop your career in the commercial sector? Do you have experience working within the construction industry? We are working closely with a small but growing firm that is looking for a junior level QS to join their team on a permanent basis.

Our client specialises in interiors, with particular focus on painting, carpentry, restoration and conservation of historic and listed buildings in the London area. Working hours are Monday to Friday between 8.00am to 4.30pm.

Duties include:

• Project Variations – this would be a big part of the role in making sure that variations are logged, orders/instructions received, and prices agreed so that they are invoiced at month end. The financial management of this is very important.
• Month-end Valuations – reviewing the work undertaken on each project in the 3rd week of the month so that valuation figures can be submitted.
• Project Management – of some of our clients’ smaller projects.

The successful candidate will be:

• Primarily site-based in the London area with a flexible commitment to days in the Orpington office
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Have a full UK Driving License and own vehicle to attend their office (not on public transport route)
