An established, forward-thinking engineering consultancy is seeking a talented Geoenvironmental Engineer to join their busy Leeds office. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a variety of sectors including road and rail infrastructure, residential schemes, industrial and commercial developments, and leisure projects.
The Role
You’ll be involved in all stages of geo-environmental and geotechnical projects – from site investigation and risk assessment through to remediation, validation, and regulatory liaison. The position offers a diverse workload, client interaction, and the chance to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities

Scope and review Preliminary Risk Assessments and intrusive ground investigations.

Apply knowledge of contaminated land legislation to support scoping and risk assessments.

Interpret geology, develop ground models, and integrate geotechnical solutions.

Produce high-quality interpretative reports and technical documentation.

Undertake quantitative risk assessments for human health, ground gases, and controlled waters.

Prepare remediation strategies, method statements, and options appraisals.

Provide commercially focused, client-driven proposals.

Liaise effectively with regulators and local authorities.

Work collaboratively with structural, civil, and transport teams.

Build and maintain strong client relationships, contributing to business development.
Requirements

Degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Geology, Earth Sciences, or related field.

Experience in at least two of the following sectors: road/rail, residential, industrial/commercial, leisure.

Solid technical and project management skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent verbal/written communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills, team orientation, and commercial awareness.
