Anderselite are currently recruiting on behalf of a respected civil engineering subcontractor who are seeking an experienced Freelance Planner to support their projects across Yorkshire.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project programmes, ensuring works are delivered on time and in line with contractual obligations. This is a freelance opportunity offering flexibility and the chance to work on a variety of civil engineering and infrastructure schemes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed project programmes using industry-standard software (Primavera P6 / MS Project).

  • Monitor and update programmes to reflect actual progress and forecast future performance.

  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and commercial teams to align project delivery with programme targets.

  • Prepare regular reports on programme status, progress, and critical paths.

  • Identify and highlight potential delays, risks, and opportunities for recovery.

  • Support in the preparation of tender and bid programmes.

  • Ensure compliance with client and contractual requirements.

  • Contribute to project planning meetings and provide expert planning advice.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Planner within civil engineering or infrastructure projects.

  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.

  • Strong understanding of civil engineering construction methods and sequencing.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with project teams.

  • Based in or able to cover projects across Yorkshire.
