We currently have an opportunity for an FM Manager on a temporary contract lasting at least 8 weeks.
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the role of the Facilities Manager will possess an expertise in Facilities Management, have commercial acumen, and be able manage all elements assigned to them in a professional and safe manner.
As well as the day to day duties expected of a Facilities Manager (FM) .
The FM be responsible for identifying, scoping, quoting and the management and delivery of additional works and minor works, the FM will be supported by the Estate Surveyor in the undertaking of the additional works duties.
Once the surveys, inspections and work identification has been completed, the FM will be responsible for the scoping and procuring of the work. This procurement will be through the MRT Manager for works that can be self-delivered, which in majority of cases will be works up to £1,000 and with a duration of less than a couple of days and the other work greater than £1,000 will be procured directly with sub-contractors.
The FM will plan and manage all aspects of the sub-contracted works. Working with the Asset Manager and Senior Supervisor, they will also manage the delivery of self-delivered works. They will ensure all works are completed in a timely manner, to a good quality and with no impact of the health and safety of those completing the work or those who cross the paths of the team working in the park. They will protect the environment and ensure that the park(s) they are responsible for is a positive experience for all that work or visit.
The FM will manage the client authorisation of works over the threshold of £1,000 following the New Works authorisation process. They will report on the P&L of each aspect of work to the Senior Facilities Manager, who will report the overall profitability to the leadership team monthly.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a proactive outlook;
• Identifying and recommending work that requires action; and
• Problem solving combined with the ability of converting ideas into briefs or specifications.
The Facilities Manager will demonstrate and maintain a high level of operational and commercial knowledge and works closely with the delivery team to review techniques and solutions to meet business and customer needs.
