Job Title: Fire Designer
Location: Warrington
Type: Permanent (agile working/site & office based)
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum plus package (negotiable subject to experience)

A Tier 1 main contractor is seeking a passionate Fire Designer to be at the forefront of innovation and technical excellence on critical national infrastructure projects.
Your core task will revolve around producing design documents such as Battery Calculations, Zone drawings, Detector Layouts and Fire strategies as such experience in system integration and system power design are needed to make your new role a success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop technical specifications post-site visits/3D scans and refine scope of works in close liaison with subcontractor design teams.
• Lead site visits, collaborating with our design team and serving as the primary contact for subcontract designers.
• Ensure completeness, quality, and cost-effectiveness of subcontractors pricing and specifications.
• Drive the completion of Tender TQs and manage the Tender TQ register.
• Assist in producing technical documentation for tender inquiries and orders.
• Uphold design processes and procedures both in-office and on-site.
• Assist with effective handovers to the relevant parties


What Were Looking For:
• Relevant industry qualifications such as ONC/HNC/B. Eng or NVQ equivalent.
• Experience and expertise in integrated fire systems, including detection, suppression, fire stopping, networking, and risk assessment.
• Proficiency in system integration and management systems, with familiarity in AMTECH for system power design.
• Solid understanding of fire equipment and devices, alongside BIM/PAS 1192 knowledge.
• Ability to produce documents to client briefs and specifications.
• Knowledge of CDM regulations and temporary works requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft packages, with AutoCAD software experience being advantageous.
