My client who provides total building maintenance and facilities management for commercial buildings within the private and public sectors are looking for a Mobile Fire Alarm Service Engineer in the Leeds area.


About the role
We are looking for a Mobile Fire Alarm Service Engineer in the Leeds area who will cover the site doing PPMs, reactive works etc.


Principal Accountabilities
• Participation in a 24/7 on call rota.
• To perform planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks on all associated equipment, including fault finding and repair
• To take control of works issued to you, through to satisfactory completion.
• Provide worksheets and timesheets along with any relevant supporting documentation for each task carried out.
• Participate in the upkeep of records on servicing of plant and equipment and maintaining the plant asset registers.
• To carry out any reasonable request to perform duties which are normal custom and practice in a maintenance environment.
• To obey company rules and maintain a high standard of discipline and dress.
• To be knowledgeable and up to date in matters relating to Health and Safety. To attend company sponsored training on Health and Safety or technical aspects when requested.
• To be willing to undertake training in other trades.
• Ability to work unsupervised or with other team members
• The role is for a multi-skilled mobile engineer and all items of building and repair works will need to be undertaken in this role.


Skills and Qualifications
• Excellent customer interface skills
• Use of IT tools
• Good quality and process driven person
• C&G A+B or C&G 2391 test and inspection
• Have a good working knowledge in building fabrics
• To be able to work on a wide range of projects
• Have spent the last 5 or more years on fire alarm systems (Installation, commissioning, testing and fault finding).

40 hours per week with participation in a 24/7 call out rota. The salary is between 35k to 45k.

Previous maintenance experience for a facilities management company is essential.
