Are you an Externals or Package Manager experienced in working on high-profile commercial projects for a Tier 1 Main Contractor? This is an excellent freelance opportunity to lead a team in a live environment working on External packages, based in Surrey.

The project involves construction of soundstages and an office building, with the majority of time for this role spent on site, with 70% vs 30% at desk. This is a contract role running until circa May 2023.

The main focus of this role is the overall management of External packages, listed below:

• Groundworks & Hard Landscaping
• Blockwork
• Secondary Steelwork
• Soft Landscaping
• Fencing

Duties include:

• Health & Safety inspections and record keeping.
• QA inspections of works on-site, including detailed checking of concrete reinforcement & pre-pour checks.
• Holding & minuting of progress meetings with sub-contractors.
• Development and implementation of progress monitoring tools.
• Short term planning – coordinating works with rest of the team / sub-contractors.
• Liaison with suppliers and manufacturers.
• Review of design and coordination with design team.
• Use of our CDE – Business Collaborator (BC).
• Raising & management of RFI’s via BC.
• Raising & management of snags via Fieldview.
• Regular QA inspections of the works, principally recorded via Fieldview.

The successful candidate will have:

• CSCS & SMSTS.
• Main contractor experience on similar projects.
• Management of Groundworks & Blockwork packages.
• Knowledge of using Fieldview.
• Experience using Asta / Microsoft Project would be desirable.
• First Aid would be useful, not essential.
