Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Fantastic opportunity to join our vibrant team of engineers who maintain one of the largest inner city shopping centres in the UK. The successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of our HVAC equipment as well as some minor project works. The role will involve night works 7week per year.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
• The repair and maintenance of electrical equipment, planned and reactive.
• Ensure planned and reactive task are completed effectively and in an efficient manner.
• Making recommendations for improvement and providing concise technical reports when required.
• Regular communication to the duty Shift Leader/Supervisor and Helpdesk.
• To provide backup as engineering relief cover in the event of annual leave, training or other absence within the engineering team. Ensuring minimum staffing arrangements are always maintained and covering your opposite shift team members when required
• Accurately reporting of all completed work orders, including precise recording of any critical spares/stock items used during these tasks
• Attend weekly team meetings and monthly team meetings when scheduled.
• Completing the shift handover reports, ensuring that significant events or activities are noted and effectively communicated to oncoming shifts and Integral management.
• Actively participate and complete QHSE compliance activities, such as Hazard/Near Miss Reporting and regular Toolbox Talks
• Responding to customer needs and building relationships in a professional manner
• Participation in standby rota for emergency calls outside normal working hours
• Participation in shift work including weekends and night working (including working at height) throughout the year

Essential Qualifications & Experience
• Electrical NVQ level 2 & 3
• 18th Edition
• Control Panels
• Single Phase and Three Phase Motors and Motor Control Centres.
