Electrical Tester – Droitwich, Worcestershire – Permanent – circa £40,000 plus company benefits

AndersElite require a permanent Electrical Tester for an established building services contractor based in Droitwich, Worcestershire. This position is available from March 2023 onwards...

The work location is set in a large, modern industrial unit, our client specialising in the manufacturing off site building services solutions to be used on large construction projects for global brands.

The Electrical Tester is responsible for ensuring that the electrical installations are installed and tested in accordance with the latest edition of BS7671.

Duties will be:
• To test and inspect electrical installations within prefabricated plantrooms and modules to the requirements BS7671
• Manage annual PAT testing of company assets
• Ensure that the installations are completed to a high standard and free from defects prior to shipping
• To work to deadlines to meet Production requirements

ADMIN

• To complete NICEIC certificates utilising Clik software on a tablet device. Once complete the certificates will be exported to the QS for sign off

ROLE REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
• Experience in testing commercial installations and compiling certificates
• City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/5
• Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical Services or equivalent
• 18th Edition qualified
• PAT testing experience / qualification
• Full UK Driving License (not mandatory)

Payment is based on an hourly rate as per current Jib Shop Employed regulations rate, (£18.62 per hour). After 38 hours are worked during the week pay rate is increased to £27.93 per hour plus double time if any Sunday hours worked.

It would be expected that yearly earnings would exceed £40,000. In addition, you will receive a company pension, holiday allowance, sick pay allowance and any electrical training courses required to further your technical development. Other benefits include private healthcare and social and wellbeing events, plus free parking.

The working week will be minimum 38hrs, generally 7.30 – 16.00 Monday to Friday but overtime hours will be available during busier periods which is very regular, allowing employees to supplement their usual earnings.
