Electrical Project Engineer
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + Package
Location: Severn Trent Region
Anderselite are working with numerous Main Contractors on the Severn Trent Water Framework to bring in Electrical Project Engineers to their MEICA Water teams to help deliver projects within Severn Trent region.
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join the team in the East Midlands region. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering electrical engineering solutions for water treatment projects within the framework of Severn Trent Water. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in water treatment processes and non-infrastructure water projects, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of electrical systems, project management, and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement electrical solutions for water treatment projects.
• Interfacing with internal and external multi-discipline designers and Contract Engineers where appropriate and working in conjunction with delivery teams to promote integrated project delivery.
• Provide expertise in the planning, execution, and monitoring of electrical aspects of projects, ensuring adherence to budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
• Conduct thorough assessments of project requirements, prepare detailed project plans, and define scope, goals, and deliverables.
• Oversee the selection and procurement of electrical equipment and materials, while maintaining compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring their work aligns with project objectives and timelines.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure safety and compliance with established standards.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
• Prepare and present project status reports to senior management, highlighting key milestones, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Participate in project review meetings, incorporating lessons learned into future projects to continuously improve processes.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience working on water treatment projects, preferably on Waste non-infrastructure projects.
• Solid understanding of electrical systems, instrumentation, control systems, and automation technologies relevant to water treatment processes.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
• Understanding of NEC 4 Contractual requirements, an understanding of sustainable development and CDM.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability and adaptability to changing project requirements.
• Relevant Site - Based qualifications like SSSTS, SMSTS, IOSH, EUSR, Confined Space

• Location: East Midlands (flexibility to travel to project sites and offices as required).
• Framework: Primarily focused on Severn Trent Water
• Travel: This role involves travel to project sites and meetings when required.
