Position: Electrical Project Manager
- Salary: £50,000 to £55,000 per annum
- Car Allowance: £6,000 per annum
Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a qualified electrician
- Experience in electrical contracting in commercial, industrial, and rail sectors
- Preferred qualifications: SMSTS, BS 7671 18th edition, and PTS
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Job Description:
- Manage electrical projects ranging from £100,000 to £2,000,000
- Report to the Contract Manager
- Collaborate with in-house mechanical, telecoms, and fire management colleagues
- Attend and actively participate in site meetings with principal contractor representatives
- Conduct regular site visits to review progress, installation quality, and health and safety compliance
- Perform due diligence checks on design and installation, raising RFIs and TQs as needed
- Promote and uphold quality and efficiency standards for both site and office operations
- Identify and report any time or cost variations to contract scope
- Complete take-offs, obtain quotations, and place orders for major or long-lead materials
- Coordinate daily and weekly labour and material schedules
- Work with the QS and Contract Manager to award subcontract packages
- Provide weekly progress updates and reports
- Assist the Contracts Manager with labour and material forecasting
- Create and submit risk assessments and method statements
- Collaborate on period applications
- Ensure compliance with client and PC Quality Assurance processes
- Prepare project O&M manuals with administrative support
- Conduct and attend site snagging visits to ensure timely resolutions for Entry into Service
- Compile all necessary certification and commissioning reports for Entry into Service
