As an Electrical Estimator you will manage and develop cost estimates for major building services tenders, technically and commercially in accordance with company ethos, procedures and guidelines.

This is a key role where you will ensure that our pricing solutions are innovative, competitive and environmentally optimal for the benefit of both the business and our clients.


You Will:


Ensure that all the necessary suppliers and benchmark sources are coordinated and managed in the most efficient and effective way to maximise the accuracy of the pricing.
Work independently or with a Senior Estimator to prepare the financial elements of a tender within the specified timescales.
Work primarily to establish the prime cost of the works for a project during the tender period.
Provide financial input for all programme, VE, temporary works and other associated issues and compile estimates to ensure tenders are accurate.
Ensure compliance with the company's business authorisation levels and controls including all quality, health, safety and environmental procedures.
Liaise with clients and stakeholders, representing the company at site visits and other meetings.
Ensure bid project reporting is carried out to the Company's requirements and standards i.e. tender bid analysis.
Liaise with the client, as lead in some cases, ensuring customer satisfaction during bid project, financial close and mobilisation phases as appropriate.
Assist the bid team in any post tender negotiations.
Engage with colleagues and record success factors.


We're looking for:


Demonstrable experience of estimating medium/large size Building Services within private and public sector projects with a particular focus from the Electrical Building Services aspect.
Qualifications from a construction/engineering related subject.
Ability to maximise return/benefit from procurement practices and supply chain management.
Experience of digital estimating take off systems would be advantageous.
Demonstrable experience/key relationships within the supply chain.
Able to identify alternative solutions at tender and communicate confidently to the Preconstruction lead.
