Electrical Engineer/ Maintenance Technician

Location : Various (Glasgow)

Full Time Monday – Friday 40 hours per week

Anderselite are working with a major Facilities Management client of ours who are looking for an Electrical Engineer to support their operation across a multi- faceted delivery. The services provided by the client include but are not limited to:

1. EICRs, covering domestic, commercial, retail, Petrochem and Industrial including remedial repairs where authorised to do so.
2. Fire Alarm PPM, repair and alteration.
3. Emergency Lighting PPM, repair and alteration.
4. Fire Extinguisher inspection and servicing.
5. Portable Appliance testing.
6. Thermal Imaging.
EV commissioning, PPM and repair.
7. Electrical installation work.
8. Fixed plant inspections.

Job Description

To carry out electrical planned preventative maintenance, P1 to P4 reactive repairs including OOH callout and electrical installation work for a wide range of clients.

As an Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for:

• -Attend team meetings to review performance.
• To undertake EICRs in a cost-effective manner using your communication skills to liaise with the clients on site representative to minimise disruption.
• To undertake a wide range of electrical PPM tasks (as listed above).
• -To undertake small installation works, in an efficient and courteous manner, with a strong focus on customer care.
• -To demonstrate the behaviours and cultural values that are the foundation of the type of service quality we wish to embrace within the company.
• -To co-operate with the shift requirements and work shift patterns as dictated by the business needs.
• - Ensure that comprehensive maintenance records are kept and in order task sheets or the correct use of Tablets / mobile devices.
• - Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are read and understood prior to any work being undertaken.
• - Carry out point of work risk assessments as and when required.
• - Comply with all elements of the FM Health and Safety Policy are adhered to throughout the delivery of all assigned work types.
• - To develop a good working relationship with all members of the team and other customers.
• - Ensure a professional image is presented to clients and ensure excellence in customer service is promoted and delivered at all times.
• - Ensure that professional and technical skills are maintained through a commitment to personal development and life-long-learning.
• - Ensure all works are documented and a full audit trail is available for your work activity including test certificates, PPM records, reactive requests, KPI reports, date & times using a tablet device and associated software(s).
• -Undertake reviews in partnership with the technical managers and supervisors.
• -Demonstrate a “Can Do” Attitude

The successful Electrical Engineer will have:

• C&G236 Pt1 and Pt2 (or equivalent).
• C&G2382 18th Edition.
• C&G 2391 or C&G2394 & 2395.
• A broad range and high standard of practical skills
• Good operational knowledge and experience of FM, Service Delivery Plans and Electrical systems.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of current Health and Safety Regulations

It is desirable to have:
• C&G2919 (EV)
• C&G2929 (EV)
• COMPEX 7 & 8
• FIA Fire alarm servicing and maintenance module
• FIA Emergency Lighting servicing and maintenance modules (basic and advanced)
• Ipaf 3A and 3B

Please note that successful candidates for this position will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check, the result of which must be considered satisfactory in line with the vetting requirements for this role.
