Electrical Contracts Manager – Newark – Circa £50,000 dependant on experience.

Anderselite have an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Contracts Manager, for an M&E contractor based out of Newark, Nottinghamshire.

This position would be ideal for an experienced Electrical Project Manager/ Estimator or Design Manager looking to progress further in the industry. Duties will include.

  • Understanding and scrutinising project specifications and drawings
  • Carrying out site visits and surveys and attending meetings with clients and consultants.
  • Working knowledge of SEC Cypher package
  • Identifying tender qualifications and exclusions, completing tenders within required timescales ensuring deadlines are met and liaising with the mechanical department when submitting M&E tenders
  • Understanding and scrutinising sub-contract quotations and Management & engagement of sub-contract packages
  • Recognising and reporting project risk and opportunity.
  • Procurement of materials, incorporating better buying where possible.
  • Recognising and costing of contract changes/variations and Completing payment applications on time
  • Management of site progress/reports and providing support in respect of queries and dispute resolution.
  • Generating business development opportunities and exploiting sales opportunities as they arise.

Our client is willing to offer a competitive package for the right candidate, circa £50,000 dependant on experience.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience at project management/estimator or design level, and a excellent skills in communication, numeracy and in business development.

Due to the nature of the job, excellent time management skills are a must, in addition to awareness of Constructions Contracts and the Construction Act 1996.

It’s also essential due to the nature of the role to have a Full Clean Driving Licence, Project Management Qualifications and 18th Edition IET BS7671.
