Job Overview: We are looking for a qualified Electrician to undertake a variety of tasks related to electrical systems and equipment within the University. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and functionality of electrical systems across campus buildings, supporting the University's commitment to providing a conducive learning and working environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Installation and Maintenance:
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and components in accordance with local and national electrical codes.
- Inspect electrical systems and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.

Troubleshooting:
- Diagnose and resolve electrical problems efficiently and effectively.
- Collaborate with other maintenance and facilities staff to identify and address electrical issues promptly.

Documentation:
- Keep accurate records of electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Provide detailed reports on work completed and recommendations for future improvements.

Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Stay informed about changes in electrical codes and regulations to maintain a high level of expertise.

Collaboration:
- Work closely with other members of the Facilities Management team and external contractors to coordinate maintenance and repair activities.
- Communicate effectively with faculty, staff, and students to understand and address electrical needs.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- ECS and Proven experience as an Electrician in a similar role.
- 18th Edition
- 2391 Inspection and Test
- Thorough knowledge of electrical systems, components, and safety procedures.
- Ability to read technical diagrams and blueprints.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Driving License
