As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our Facilities Management team and contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of our campus infrastructure.

Job Overview: We are looking for a qualified Electrician to undertake a variety of tasks related to electrical systems and equipment within the University. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and functionality of electrical systems across campus buildings, supporting the University's commitment to providing a conducive learning and working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation and Maintenance:

   • Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and components in accordance with local and national electrical codes.
   • Inspect electrical systems and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.

2. Troubleshooting:

   • Diagnose and resolve electrical problems efficiently and effectively.
   • Collaborate with other maintenance and facilities staff to identify and address electrical issues promptly.

3. Documentation:

   • Keep accurate records of electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
   • Provide detailed reports on work completed and recommendations for future improvements.

4. Compliance:

   • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
   • Stay informed about changes in electrical codes and regulations to maintain a high level of expertise.

5. Collaboration:

   • Work closely with other members of the Facilities Management team and external contractors to coordinate maintenance and repair activities.
   • Communicate effectively with faculty, staff, and students to understand and address electrical needs.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• ECS and Proven experience as an Electrician in a similar role.
• 18th Edition
• 2391 Inspection and Test
• Thorough knowledge of electrical systems, components, and safety procedures.
• Ability to read technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Driving License
