Anderselite are currently working alongside a Consultancy in their search for personable, innovative and proactive ecologists at all grades, to join their Ecology Team. You will be based in Cardiff and benefit from working with a multidisciplinary consultancy team whilst providing technical project management across a range of project sizes, types and complexities.
The client is a well-established environmental planning consultancy operating throughout England and Wales and are a broad-based practice with experience in all areas of professional ecological consultancy, in addition to offering landscape, heritage and archaeology, arboriculture and masterplanning services. They deliver bespoke, creative solutions to their clients in the residential, commercial, energy and renewables sectors.
The ideal candidate will be positive, solution-focussed, and pragmatic, with proven consultancy experience and strong management and reporting skills necessary to deliver technical and professional project management. You will be a confident and self-motivated field ecologist, with demonstrable experience of habitat and species surveys, habitat management/clerk of works role and mitigation design. Candidates who hold relevant protected species survey licenses, have experience in mitigation licensing, or have a particular expertise are encouraged to apply. Candidates with strong project management experience are also highly sought after.
You will have a relevant degree, a sound understanding of the current planning system and environmental legislation, and have, or be eligible for membership with CIEEM. You will be willing to contribute to a supportive work environment, being able to work effectively on your own and as part of a team, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. A full, valid UK driving license is essential.
The salary for this post is to be agreed based on qualifications and experience and will form part of an excellent benefits package, including: pension contributions private health insurance 30 days annual leave allowance (+ bank holidays) and a profit share bonus scheme.
